Guide to Offers

1. Some offers are scams. You should always be sure to read the Terms of Service (ToS) very closely before doing any offer. It’s a good idea to research the offer you’re planning to complete before you do it.  Google is your best friend for this.

2.  After you’ve done a few offers, your bank might put a hold on your account. This is good news! It means that your fraud protection is working, and they want to be sure that the card isn‘t stolen. Call them; it‘ll be fixed in 5 minutes.

Advice on Offers:

First of all, I need to make clear that it’s none of my business which offers you do.  It’s your money, it’s your choice.  But I’ve done a lot of offers in the past, and I’d like to share my experience with some of the best ones. These all provide great value for the money, and if you’re serious about building a business in the freebie-trading world, the first one will help you with that, too.  Nothing better than picking up an education and some useful tools while getting paid for it.

1.  Video Professor–Probably the best offer of all, and one of the first ones most people do.  It’s usually worth a great big piece of a credit, MUCH more than most other offers. In fact, this one offer, plus almost any other, will get you a green on almost any site. It’s also fairly cheap ($7), and their customer service is excellent.  In addition, they have lots of great, in depth information about how to run various software programs.  You can never know too much about your computer.  I was pretty much computer illiterate when I started this business.  Video Professor’s courses are each designed to address a specific need that you might have.  They helped me a lot.  Unless you’re an expert, they’ll help you, too.

There are actually two different Video Professor offers.  One of them (the basic Video Professor offer) is on almost every site.  The other one (Video Professor Home Based Business) is much less common.  If you see the second one on a site, and you’re interested in it, you should do that one first, because you might not see it again.

You CAN do both of these offers if you’re interested in both, but not at the same time.  You’ll need to let the trial period end on the first one before you sign up for the second.  Whether you choose to keep the first one or not won’t affect your ability to do the second, but if you try to do the second before the trial period is over on the first, they’ll decline your credit card WITHOUT TELLING YOU WHY.  I can’t tell you how many hours people spent figuring out that little nugget of wisdom.  Don’t let all their work go to waste.

2.  Book Clubs–There are at least half a dozen book clubs on various sites.  They’re all very good in terms of how large a fraction of a credit you get for the money you pay, and they make great gifts.  I took care of most of the kids on my Christmas list last year with these–and made a nice profit while I was doing it.

3.  Silkies Hosiery–A sizable chunk of credit and for two pairs of tights for $5, or $4 for a pair of pantyhose. How can you go wrong?  My wife tells me the products are excellent.

If you just want to see how the system works, it’s a perfectly valid strategy to begin by trying the free or very cheap offers which you’re interested in first.  That maximizes your cash profit, allows you to see how the system works at little risk, and gives you the chance to try a bunch of interesting products while keeping your profits. Stuff like Nicole Williams Savings Advantage, Emusic, Photostamps (a bit more money, but a really cool product.  Get a photo of your family put on a stamp and use it on all of your Christmas cards), and Stamps.com as well as a lot of others you’ll see around are cheap, good, and provide hefty pieces of credit, so if you’re interested in trying out the products they offer, they’re good places to start too.  One note:  Stamps.Com requires you to use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox as a browser.

And now, at long last, you’re ready to start making money online.  Before you begin, though, I’m going to make one last appeal.  Please contact me before you get started.  Tutorials are great, but one-on-one help by email, IM, or on the phone is even better.  If you’re certain you can go it alone, you can find your final set of instructions on the next page.
